KRONENWETTER, WI (WSAU) – Kronenwetter was voted one of the safest cities in Wisconsin for the fourth consecutive year.
Kronenwetter ranks eighth on SafeWise’s 11th Annual Safest Cities Report based their rankings on violent and property crime rates.
Kronenwetter’s three-year average violent crime rate was 0.7 occurrences per 1,000 persons, while the average property crime rate was 2.6 occurrences per thousand persons. Kronenwetter’s violent crime rate declined by 0.1 from the previous year, while property crime rates decreased by 0.4 this year.
“As a Village, we’re very excited and proud that for the fourth year in a row, we’re one of the top ten safest cities in WI and the only municipality in the top 20 that is north of the Green Bay area,” said Kronenwetter Police Chief Terry McHugh. “This is a direct reflection of the great community we have here, and it’s another reason why Kronenwetter is such a good place to grow your family and business.”
The survey found that the top three safest places to live in Wisconsin included Mount Horeb, Cottage Grove, and Hobart-Lawrence.
