TOWN OF CORNING, WI (WSAU) — A 25-year-old Merrill man has been taken into custody in connection with the death of another man, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
It started with a call regarding a 48-year-old man absent from work on Tuesday evening. When officers arrived at his home for a welfare check, they found him deceased.
They took the 25-year-old into custody Tuesday night. He is due to make a court appearance at 1:30 PM.
Neither the suspect nor the victim have been identified. Officers note that the incident remains under investigation.
