GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Packers and free agent guard Aaron Banks have reached a deal with the top available guard in free agency.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, former 49ers guard Aaron Banks and the Packers are in agreement on a four-year deal worth $77 million in their third free agent signing of the off-season after they re-signed linebacker Isaiah McDuffie and Brandon McManus in recent weeks.
Banks, 27, suffered a partially torn medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his right knee last season, which landed him on season-ending IR. However, in 2024, Banks posted a career-high 67.2 PFF grade in 13 starts for the 49ers after he allowed just one sack on 471 pass-blocking snaps in 2024.
The signing of Banks all but guarantees that center Josh Myers will not be returning to the Packers in 2025, as guard Elgton Jenkins will be expected to slide over from left guard to center next season.
