RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU-WAOW) -Wisconsin Public Service says they’ve restored power to more than 6,000 people across Northern Wisconsin.
WPS crews have found damage, including downed trees and power lines, that have contributed to the power outages.
Most of the outages were caused by icy conditions and high winds. Gusts were above 40-miles-per-hour.
WPS says they expect up to 95 percent of customers affected by the storm to have their power restored as of Wednesday night.
They say all available crews are continuing to work through the overnight.
