ST GERMAIN, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – One person is dead in Vilas County after a snowmobile accident Saturday afternoon.
According to the Vilas County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday.
The snowmobiler hit a tree along a curve on Trail 15 near Sweet Fern Lane in the Township of St. Germain.
First responders worked to save the life of the snowmobiler, but they were pronounced dead on the way to the hospital.
The person hasn’t been identified, and the accident is still under investigation.
