WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Visit Wausau is continuing to gear up for the 2025 NFL Draft in two months and is letting visitors know if you’re looking for a place to stay and a ride to the event to avoid parking, Wausau has ways to help.
The NFL Draft will take place in Green Bay in 63 days, which will result in thousands of visitors coming to the area, and in Wausau, they are working hard to make the experience as memorable as possible.
According to Tim White, Executive Director of Visit Wausau, “Wisconsin will probably never get a Super Bowl just because of the logistics of it all, so really this is our Super Bowl.”
Visit Wausau has joined Minocqua as one of the destinations offering a shuttle that will take travelers directly to Lambeau. This will allow them to stay somewhere quieter while yet having easy access to Lambeau Field.
Visitors looking for a place to stay as well as transportation could bring significant economic impact to the city. Whether it’s a sports bar or Marathon Park, Wausau will most certainly benefit from this event.
“Our DNA as the greater Wausau area is this very welcoming, very hospitable—we know hospitality was not going to give you a tourist experience because we don’t look at you as tourists. We look at you as visitors,” White continued.
If you or someone you know is interested in having their draft experience in Wausau, fans are encouraged to check out the Visit Wausau website to learn about all of the available packages.
