LANGLADE COUNTY, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – The state-funded trails and all other trails in the Langlade County Snowmobile Trail system will open on Wednesday, February 12, at 8 a.m.
According to the Langlade County Forestry, Parks & Recreation Department, the Snowmobile Council and clubs approve the trail opening based on their requirements and preparations.
Officials warn all lake routes in Langlade County are dangerous and should not be used until they are identified by a local snowmobile club.
The Langlade County Forestry, Parks, and Recreation Department advises riders to stay on properly marked trails. They recommend riding a snowmobile with caution because the trails are bumpy and early in the season.
Marathon County officials also announced on Monday that Zone One and Three will see a partial opening for the Mountain Bay Trail, from Kelly Club going East into Shawano County on Monday, February 10th at 8 am. No other connecting trails will be open to access the Mountain Bay Trail.
