WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — With three to five inches of snow expected across much of Central Wisconsin this weekend, communities have declared snow emergencies for Saturday and Sunday.
A Snow Emergency prohibits on-street parking, giving public works crews ample space to clear streets from curb to curb following a significant snow event. Those who leave their cars on the street could be subject to ticketing and towing.
Below is a list of communities that have declared a Snow Emergency:
- Stevens Point: from 12:00 PM Saturday to 12:00 PM Sunday
- Plover: from 12:00 PM Saturday to 3:00 PM Sunday
