Demonstration on the 400-block in Wausau, WI (WAOW)
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Dozens of people gathered in downtown Wausau Wednesday to voice their disapproval of the Trump administration.
“Hey hey, ho ho. Elon Musk has got to go,” yelled members of the Wausau Area Progressives.
They, along with other central Wisconsin Democrats, gathered along the 400 block around midday.
Some told WAOW-TV the country is moving in a direction they don’t agree with. Rick Marks, a member of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, said the recent federal moves to eliminate departments and fire federal workers is concerning. “We want to make notice that things are going on right now that are happening fast,” said Marks. “Very much concerned they’re not following the rules of law. We’ve got court cases flying around. If we’re going to lay these people off, are we going to end up in huge court battles and having back pay? So this stuff never ends.”
