MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Bucks are staying active in trade discussions following two blockbuster deals that sent star players like Luka Doncic, Anthony Davis, De’Aaron Fox, and Zach LaVine to new teams.
According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, “there has been little fresh chatter” about the Bucks pursuing Butler, while the franchise “more recently had conversations about pursuing” Washington Wizards 29-year-old forward Kyle Kuzma.
“All indications are that Kuzma is less patient now with the Wizards’ direction” compared to when Washington asked him a year ago if he would be interested in a trade, Josh Robbins of The Athletic said about Kuzma’s trade rumors last week. In his fourth season with the Wizards, Kuzma is scoring 15 points per game.
The Bucks were previously connected to former Bulls guard Zach LaVine before he was traded to Sacramento on Sunday night in a three-team deal which came only a few days after NBA Insider Marc Stein reported that Milwaukee is “routinely described as a team quite determined to make at least one move before the trade buzzer sounds to try to enhance the supporting cast around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.”
The NBA trade deadline ends on Thursday, February 6th.
