MADISON, Wis. – Pierce County Meats Inc. in Ellsworth, Wis., is expanding the voluntary Class II recall originally issued on January 13, 2025 to include six additional products. The newly added affected products carry a mark of inspection for establishment No. 132. The updated products include:
- Blueberry Swiss Summer Sausage – contains wheat
- Cheddar Smoked Country Style Sausage – contains wheat
- Cheddar Snack Sticks – contains wheat
- Cheddar Summer Sausage – contains wheat
- Cranberry Cheddar Snack Sticks – contains wheat
- Cranberry Wild Rice Summer Sausage – contains wheat
- Honey BBQ Snack Sticks – contains wheat
- Jalapeno and Cheddar Summer Sausage – contains wheat
- Original Summer Sausage – contains wheat
- Pepper Snack Sticks – contains wheat
- Pepperjack Snack Sticks – contains wheat
- Regular Smoked Country Style Sausage – contains wheat
- Ring Bologna – contains wheat
- Smoked Beef and Pork Polish Sausage – contains wheat
- Snack Sticks – contains wheat
- Teriyaki Snack Sticks – contains wheat
- (New) Cheddar Beef Hotdogs – contains wheat and milk
- (New) Cheese Curd Brats – contains milk
- (New) Cheddar Brats – contains milk
- (New) Cranberry Swiss Summer Sausage – contains wheat and milk
- (New) Regular Hotdogs – contains wheat
- (New) Cajun Hotdogs – contains wheat
The six additional products were sold exclusively by Big Acres Meats’ retail store located in Prescott, Wisconsin prior to January 24, 2025.
This is a Class II recall, which has been expanded based on evidence collected during routine recall effectiveness checks. The additional products identified contained undeclared allergens, dairy and/or wheat, as they were observed devoid of ingredient statements. More information on the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recall classifications is available below and on USDA’s website at fsis.usda.gov.
No illnesses have been reported as a result of consuming these products. Anyone with signs or symptoms of a foodborne allergic reactions or sensitivities should contact their doctor. Consumers who have these products can discard them or return them to Pierce County Meats Inc.
