MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has opened a public comment period for a proposed trail concept plan at Rib Mountain State Park.
The plan includes new shared-use trails, upgrades to hiking trails, new ski runs, and a realignment of the snowmobile trails.
The trail network concept plan and information on how to provide input are available on the Rib Mountain State Park webpage. An in-person public information session will be held at Northcentral Technical College on February 13th from 6 to 7 PM. DNR staff will be on hand for a short presentation on the concepts followed by a question and answer session.
Written comments will also be taken at the Rib Mountain State Park office during normal operating hours.
The comment period is open through March 2nd.
