MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The world is continuing to react to this morning’s announcement that Hall of Fame Brewers announcer Bob Uecker has passed away at the age of 90.
On X, former Packers quarterback Brett Farve posted a photo of him and Uecker in the booth together saying, “Can’t believe we’ve lost such an icon…Bob Uecker, or Mr. Baseball” as we all knew him, was more than just a voice in the booth – he was a true friend and a legend in the world of sports. He had a good sense of humor and was never short on stories. I’ll never forget the laughs we shared and the times we spent together.”

He was a giant, and I—like so many other lifelong Brewers fans—will miss hearing his enthusiasm and love for the game and our Brewers on the airwaves. It’s a sad day. Kathy and I are thinking of his family, friends, the Brew Crew, and all those who knew and loved Ueck. He will always be remembered.”

Green Bay Packers play-by-play announcer Wayne Larrivee: “Nothing and no one lasts forever. But I was sure hoping Bob Uecker would be the exception to the rule.
