WAUPACA, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A Wednesday night crash in Waupaca County left one person dead and another injured.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office reports that it occurred at 10:34 p.m. on December 18th. They received a call regarding a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Highway T and Buelow Road in Lebanon Township.
According to the preliminary investigation, the vehicle was driving south on Buelow when it failed to round a bend and collided with a utility pole.
The driver of the vehicle was declared dead on the scene. The passenger was evacuated to the hospital due to injuries. Although alcohol is suspected to have had a role, the crash is still being investigated.
