MOSINEE, WI (WSAU) — An 11-year-old girl has died while riding her bike in Mosinee.
The girl was riding along Western Avenue, or State Highway 153, at around 6:15 when a black Ford pickup struck her. According to police, she was crossing the intersection of Western and Willow when the driver hit her.
He was identified as a 54-year-old Kronenwetter man. Officers said he did cooperate with them at the scene.
The girl was identified as a student at Mosinee Middle School.
The incident closed Highway 153 for several hours while crews investigated and cleared the scene.
