STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The Stevens Point Police Department has arrested a suspect wanted in connection with a burglary on Thursday evening.
Officers were called to a home on Songbird Lane at about 9:15 where a resident had returned home to find a broken window and busted lock. They also saw a man inside the home, who fled as the caller was talking with dispatchers.
The suspect was identified as 42-year-old James Muns of La Crosse. He was at large until shortly after noon on Wednesday, when officers arrested him without incident at a Northside hotel. He is currently in the Portage County Jail facing possible charges for burglary.
His vehicle and other items were in a nearby business’s parking lot.
No further information regarding the incident has been released.
