MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers are NL Central Division champions for the third time in the last four years following the Chicago Cubs 5-3 loss to the Oakland A’s on Wednesday afternoon.
The Brewers, who have now won the division title in 2021, 2022, and 2024 are the first NL Central team to win the division three times in four years since the St. Louis Cardinals won it three years in a row from 2013 to 2015.
As it currently stands, the Brewers would see the sixth-seeded Arizona Diamondbacks in the first round, with the winner traveling to Los Angeles to face the Dodgers in the Divisional Series. That scenario could easily change over the next 48 hours as the Diamondbacks are currently tied with the New York Mets at an 83-68 record on the season.
Brewers playoff tickets will become available through an online pre-sale on Friday at 8 a.m. and will go until 10 a.m., while the team will also host a prep rally outside of American Family Field starting at 6 a.m. that will include the first 5,000 fans in line getting a free Brewers car flag. The rally will also include several notable guests, including Brewers Hall of Famer Robin Yount, Packers legend Donald Driver, Bucks legend Sidney Moncrief, and Badgers legend Brian Butch.
