WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – Season two episode two of State of Affairs is now available, featuring Dane County Republican Party Chair Brandon Maly joining the program to discuss former President Trump’s upcoming visit to the Badger State and where poll numbers currently stand nationally.
When speaking about Nate Silver’s latest Five-Thirty-Eight polling model that shows Trump with a 56.7% chance of winning in November, Maly said while Silver hasn’t always been accurate in previous elections but could be onto something this year, “What this tells you is that within his methodology he’s (Silver) looking at the cross-tabs in the polling and that things aren’t lining up and some of these polls have a Democrat skew while Republican-based voters tend not to trust the polls with some good reason. Another thing it tells you is that if Trump is not favored 53% to 47% in Silver’s prediction it should fire up our base to do more.
