MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The San Francisco Giants rallied for two runs in the 7th inning and went on to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 5-4 in the opener of a three game series Tuesday night at American Family Field.
Mike Yastrzemski hit a two-run homer in the 7th off Joel Payamps to give the Giants the lead. Matt Chapman and Grant McCray also went deep for San Francisco.
Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames had homers for the Brewers. Payamps took the loss in relief.
The Brewers, now 75-56, are nine games up on the Chicago Cubs in the Central Division standings. They face the Giants again tonight…pre game show at 6:35 on WSAU.
