MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired former Cy Young-winning pitcher Dallas Keuchel in a trade with the Seattle Mariners.
According to The Athletics’ Insider Ken Rosenthal, the deal has been completed, and the Brewers will be sending Seattle cash considerations.
With twelve years of major league experience, Keuchel has been a member of the Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, Atlanta Braves, Chicago White Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Minnesota Twins. He has a lifetime 103-92 record, is a two-time All-Star, and earned the Cy Young Award in 2015 as a member of the Houston Astros.
Keuchel is on a minor-league deal for the rest of this season and has struggled in the majors since 2021, posting a 6.29 ERA in 56 major-league games. However, his numbers in his last five starts in AAA for the Tacoma Rainiers this season have improved, posting a 1.61 ERA.
