WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – State of Affairs episode eleven is now available, featuring Republican Wisconsin 86th Assembly Rep. John Spiros joining the program to discuss his campaign and issues facing the state.
While discussing Gov. Evers’s recent decisions to veto several bills that would’ve provided tax cuts to Wisconsinites, Spiros says getting spending under control and providing tax relief continues to be a main focus for him saying, “There is no doubt about it that we need to continue to work on taxes, when I first ran taxing was a big issue and at that time really Wisconsin was behind the eight ball and at that time Wisconsin was one of the highest taxed states,” and continued by saying, “one thing I’m very proud of and haven’t done in basically 20 years of public service on the city Marshfield City Council or in Madison is I’ve never voted for a tax increase.”
