WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau River District is searching for its next Executive Director.
Blake Opal-Wahoske has announced he’ll leave the organization after more than eight years in the role.
“I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to serve the Wausau River District,” said Opal-Wahoske in a press release. “I have a true passion for Main Street and its mission of preservation and economic revitalization, and I am proud of the work our team has done to build and strengthen our district during my tenure.”
Opal-Wahoske’s last day will be April 17th. The group also announced that Alex Eichten will be the interim office manager starting next Monday.
Eichten currently serves as an Event Manager with the River District and also works in the communications department at North Central Health Care.
Wausau River District is taking applications for the Executive Director position on their website.
