WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A lack of snow and ice is impacting Wausau Events’ 2024 Winter Fest.
Executive Director Alissandra Aderholdt has announced that this year’s event will not feature any outdoor events including ice skating, ice sculptures, snow castle building, and sled dog demonstrations.
“It is unusual that we need to worry about the lack of snow and warmer temperatures impacting our January events,” said Executive Director Alissandra Aderholdt in a press release. “We look forward to the indoor events this weekend and hopefully more snowfall during the 2025 season.”
Indoor events are not impacted including kid’s crafts, a petting zoo, and free food for attendees.
