MERRILL, WI (WSAU) – The investigation into a car that was discovered in the Wisconsin River on Tuesday morning has been opened by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.
At approximately 7:45 a.m., the Merrill Fire Department arrived at the boat landing on Lokemoen Road, which is located off Highway 107. At first, it was unclear if any passengers were in the car and after a brief search the crew was able to ensure that there was nobody inside.
The vehicle has been removed from the river and the investigation remains ongoing.
