MENOMONIE, WI (WSAU) — Police in Menomonie are warning residents statewide about some recent smash-and-grab incidents that have occurred near their parks.
Officers say the suspects have broken windows and stolen credit or debit cards from vehicles. In one case, cards stolen from the vehicle were used at a nearby Wal-Mart.
Security camera footage captured one of the suspects entering the store and the vehicle they are believed to be driving. That’s described as a silver Dodge Durango RT with unknown license plates.
The alert was sent out statewide because similar incidents have been reported in all corners of Wisconsin. Anyone with information about the suspect or their vehicle is asked to contact the Menomonie Police Department at (715) 231-8517.
