WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Police Department has rounded out its leadership team, appointing Todd Baeten as Deputy Chief.
Baeten’s appointment was finalized on Monday by the city’s Police and Fire Commission. He has served the department for over 20 years in various roles including patrol lieutenant, school resource officer, DARE officer, and most recently patrol captain.

He will serve under new Chief Matt Barnes, who was sworn in on September 7th as the new Chief of Police. Barnes replaced Ben Bliven, who resigned to take a job in the private sector.
