WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — A former High School Counselor in the Wisconsin Rapids public school district accused of child sex crimes will go to trial 11 months from now.
Court records indicate that Christopher Bondioli will have a four-day trial from September 10th to the 13th, 2024. He faces two counts each of child enticement and sexual assault of a student by school staff.
School officials were alerted to a potentially inappropriate relationship between a staffer and a student through another employee in late 2021. Officers then received text messages and other details from the victim, which led them to arrest Bondioli.
Bondioli resigned his position in early 2022 after the allegations came to the attention of school administrators. He pled not guilty to the charges in November 2022.

The 53-year-old also faces one count of obstructing an officer.
He’ll return to court on June 11th and July 24th, 2024 for final pre-trial and motion hearings. Until then, he’s free on a $5,000 bond with several conditions including no contact with anyone under 18 except his own children. He’s also ordered to have no contact with any Wisconsin Rapids School District buildings.
