GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — A starting guard on the Packers says artificial turf contributed to his knee injury.
Elgton Jenkins sprained his MCL during the team’s loss to the Falcons on Sunday. The lineman said he felt like, “it had something to do with it,” when asked if the turf caused his injury. Jenkins said his foot got caught in the ground and the field didn’t want to give.
David Bakhtiari didn’t play in the game as he nurses a knee injury. However, the veteran tackle has been outspoken about turf fields and the danger in playing on them.
