MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) – Marshfield Parks and Recreation is preparing to revise its Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan.
A public information meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 4:00 p.m. at the 2nd Street Community Center, 211 E. 2nd Street, to discuss early findings and receive public comment.
The CORP is used to help the City in making decisions about park improvements, new facility additions, future site acquisition, trail development, and ADA compliance. A CORP is required to be eligible for funding assistance and grants through the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) State Assistance Program of the Department of Natural Resources. The previous plan, which was finished in 2014, expires in 2018.
Questions and answers will be followed by a brief presentation on the plan. Residents will be able to complete comment sheets with their thoughts and questions during the presentation.
