HOUSTON, TX (WSAU) — Their first flight from CWA hasn’t even loaded and Avelo Airlines officials are confirming the addition of six Tuesday flights to Orlando International Airport
Communications Manager Courtney Goff said the discount airline has seen “amazing initial bookings and continues to book well.”
Goff adds that the Tuesday flights were scheduled around the holidays due to more bookings and bigger loads. She says it’s typical for airlines to temporarily add flights when the market demands it.

Avelo announced its entry into CWA in late July, with officials citing a desire to serve an “underserved” facility while growing its own footprint. Head of Network Planning Trevor Yealey told reporters that the single flight to Orlando is simply a starting point and they would like to add more destinations if passenger traffic allows.
Avelo currently serves 25 states and about 40 destinations. Flights from CWA begin on October 5th and will primarily run on Thursdays and Sundays.
The extra Tuesday flights to Orlando will be in November and December. Some flights are still booking at the introductory offer of $49 per person for a one-way ticket.
