EAGLE RIVER, WI (WSAU) — A former teacher at the Minocqua-Hazelhurst-Lake Tomahawk grade school has pled not guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography.
Lucas Aschbrenner entered the plea last week in a Vilas County courtroom. He’s accused of having multiple images of “child sexual abuse material” linked to one of his online accounts.
Investigators searched Aschbrenner’s home this spring following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. He has since resigned from his position with the school.
Aschbrenner is free on a $25,000 bond but has been outfitted with a GPS monitoring device He must remain in either Vilas or Oneida Counties and is not permitted access to the internet or have contact with minors.
The 45-year-old returns to court on October 3rd for a pretrial conference.
