OSHKOSH, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – The search for the next Miss Wisconsin has begun.
On Wednesday, the first two nights came to a close with Miss South Central, Lila Szyryj, taking home the talent crown, and Miss Madison, Paige Eide, taking home the evening wear crown.
The prizes given to both women were scholarships.
Preliminary rounds are set to end on Thursday night, and the competition concludes on Saturday.
The top 11 contestants will compete again in Talent, Evening Gown, and Lifestyle & Fitness categories before the winner is announced.
The champion will go on to compete in the Miss America pageant later this year.
Last year’s Miss Wisconsin Grace Stanke defeated Miss New York Taryn Delanie Smith and won the 2023 Miss America pageant in December. Stanke was a nuclear engineering student at the University of Wisconsin before entering the competition.
