WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – DC Everest will be the latest area school to join the Wausau School District’s La Crosse Co-Op team.
The Wausau school board nearly passed the motion unanimously on Wednesday night, falling just one vote short.
Wausau East Activities Director Kurt Vandenheuval says this move will provide local student-athletes with more opportunities, saying, “This will afford kids the opportunity to play, which is exciting, and just to know that if we can work together to build the participation to hopefully create independent teams from this, that only creates more opportunities around our area.”
DC Everest will officially join the co-op this fall and currently has around a dozen students interested in playing.
