WAUPACA, WI (WSAU) – According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, the Wolf River near New London has been declared a flood emergency by the Waupaca County Office of Emergency Management.
This means the Wolf River will be designated as a Slow-No Wake Zone.
Police say no one should operate a boat faster than slow-no-wake in the river within 500 feet of any permanent building near New London.
The emergency is expected to stay in effect until the waters can recede to a safe level.
