MADISON, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau-area trial lawyer has been re-appointed to Governor Tony Evers’ Judicial Selection Advisory Committee.
Christine Bremer Muggli, the chief shareholder of Bremer & Trollop Law Offices S.C., will serve another term after co-charing the Committee from 2019 to 2022.
Bremer Buggli has repeatedly been named one of the top trial attorneys in Wisconsin and a Wisconsin Super Lawyer. She’s also a past recipient of the Robert L. Habush Trial Lawyer of the Year award, and a current member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Evers made the announcement in a press release on Friday, saying she and others on the committee were “instrumental in ensuring that our judiciary reflects the experiences and diversity of our state. With their help, Wisconsin’s judiciary is better empowered to administer justice for all Wisconsinites.”
Also named to the committee were former Portage County Judge Thomas J. Flugaur and Miriam Seifter, who served as a litigator in private practice and a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Chief Judge Merrick Garland of the D.C. Circuit.
The group helps Evers to fill judicial vacancies as they occur during his term as Governor. During the last four-year cycle, Evers appointed 43 judges to the circuit and appellate courts statewide.
