EAGLE RIVER, WI (WSAU-WXPR) – The Northland Pines and Eagle River community held a big send-off for its marching band students Wednesday morning.
About 30 students from the high school are headed to Pasadena, California. They’ll be marching in the Rose Parade along with 400 other students from across the region as the Northwoods Marching Band.
Chloe Znek is a high school senior. “I’m really excited. A little nervous because it’s my first trip, but I think it’s going to be alright. It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be a good time.”
The Eagle River Fire Department and Police Department lined up their cars and engines to escort the bus full of students out of town.
Fellow students and community members cheered and waved goodbye from the sidewalks.
The Rose Parade is Monday, January 2nd at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. It will air on ABC and NBC and be streamed online on Peacock.
