WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau-are man who admitted to abusing his former girlfriend’s son while caring for the child will be sentenced before the end of the year.
Aaron Radtke will be sentenced on December 29th for a charge of child abuse – recklessly causing bodily harm, which he pled guilty to as part of a deal announced last week.
Radtke told doctors the child had fallen from a couch, but according to investigators, he changed his story several times. He later admitted that he became frustrated with the child when they became fussy, and shook them until they went limp.

Radtke had been facing a count of child abuse- recklessly causing great harm, but the charges were reduced as part of the deal.
A presentence investigation is underway. Charges against Radtke are a Class I felony, which carries a maximum sentence of $10,000 in fines and/or 42 months (3.5 years) in prison.
