WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — A “physical altercation” involving a teacher and a student is being investigated by both the Wausau School District and Wausau Police.
WAOW TV reports that the incident took place on Wednesday at East High School, though no further details have been released as both investigations are active. The incident was immediately reported to the school administration and police.
School officials did release a statement Friday morning which said “[we are] doing a thorough investigation right now, as we always would. Since the investigation is ongoing, and to protect the student, we will not be releasing any other information at this time.”
Police have confirmed that they are investigating the incident and at this time there have been no arrests. No further information, including the names of those involved, has been released.
