According to a copy of the employment agreement between Gau and the Village, he will make $76 per hour and spend about 32 hours per week in the position. The initial contract will be for three months, but that could be extended or shortened depending on how the search for a permanent administrator goes.
Gau will be paid by PAA, who will bill the Village for his services. He will not receive benefits or payment directly from the Village, and will also not be provided a per diem from the municipality.
Calls to the Kronenwetter Village Hall for comment were directed to Village Board President Chris Voll, who was unavailable for immediate comment.
