STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU-WAOW)– Sales from a specialty coffee are being used to help women across the country receive abortion assistance.
Zest Bakery and Coffee Shop in Stevens Point has been offering the “My Latte, My Choice” drink. Proceeds from the red velvet cinnamon espresso go directly to the Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project.
“People want to make a tangible difference, and they don’t always know how to do that,” Jesi Knightly, Barista Manager at Zest. “We thought it would help us make a difference.”
The drink has raised over $1,100, and Knightly said they do not have plans to take it off the menu soon.
