WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – Eastbay Team Sales is being sold to BSN Sports, a company based in Dallas.
The sale was announced Monday.
BSN Sports will be acquiring “substantially all” of Eastbay’s assets, according to a news release.
BSN is one of the largest direct sales supplier of sports equipment and apparel in the country.
Eastbay had been owned by Foot Locker Retail since 1997. They supply athletic shoes and apparel to high school and college athletes, founded in central Wisconsin in 1980.
A statement to Eastbay employees says ““We are excited that the employees of Eastbay Team Sales will be joining the BSN Sports family, which is dedicated exclusively to serving athletes, athletic directors and coaches.” It’s unclear what will happen to the company’s Wisconsin employees. The buyer says they will be “integrated” heading into the 2022-23 school year.
It’s unclear when the sale will be complete.
