NEKOOSA, WI (WSAU) — The Nekoosa Police Department and Wood County Sheriff’s Office have announced that more than $5,000 in cocaine and THC items was seized in an early-morning drug raid on February 16th.
According to a press release the raid began at one home in Port Edwards where officials found undisclosed amounts of THC, THC vape cartridges, and cocaine. While at that home, they received information that more of the items could be found at another residence in Nekoosa.
More cocaine was found at that home.
Officials arrested multiple people at both homes on suspicion of multiple drug-related charges including possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of THC, possession of firearms by a felon, and possession of other controlled substances. Names of those involved were not released.
The raid was the result of a joint investigation by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Nekoosa Police Department, Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force, and Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department TEMS Team.
