ANTIGO, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Seven people were injured in a three-vehicle crash near Antigo.
It happened around 6:15 PM in the southbound lanes of Highway 45 near County Road G.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says an Audi was heading south on US 45, it slowed to turn into a business’ driveway. A Ram pick-up truck, also traveling south, rear-ended the Audi, pushing it into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Both the Audi and the Ram went into the ditch on the east side of the road. The third vehicle was pushed into oncoming northbound traffic.
A four-month-old child in the first car is being treated for life-threatening injuries. Two other drivers in the first car, a single driver in the pick-up truck, and three people in the third car were hurt. All are expected to survive.
No names have been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
