NEW HAVEN, WI (WSAU-WAOW) A small plane made an emergency landing in a field in Adams County.
Quick thinking from an area pilot kept damage to a minimum. There were no injuries.
A press release posted on the Adams County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page says a passing military pilot happened to spot what appeared to be a downed aircraft in a field and contacted the FAA.
Police determined the plane had been flying near Wisconsin Dells before 4pm when it experienced an engine failure.
The pilot was able to safely land in a field near the intersection of 5th Avenue and State Highway 23.
