TOMAHAWK, WI (WSAU) — A local elementary school will be closed due to staff shortages.
According to a Facebook post, the School District of Tomahawk will need to close Tomahawk Elementary to in-person instruction from January 13th until January 22nd. While the school is closed remote learning will begin. Instructions on remote learning were provided to parents in the school district on Wednesday.
The elementary school will be closed due to a number of teachers being in COVID-19 quarantine. Until those teachers are able to come out of quarantine, the school won’t have enough staff to keep its doors open.
In-person learning will continue for grades 6-12 as normal.
