STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Marshfield Clinic is looking to expand its presence in Steven Point with a new 30,000 square foot addition to its current facility on State Highway 66.
The proposed addition would include space for an emergency department, surgical unit, in-patient unit, and other departments such as dietary, physical therapy, and building services.
Added parking and a mobile MRI location are also included with the plans.
The total cost of the project has not been revealed at this time, but Marshfield Clinic says they’d like to start construction before the end of the year. That would put the facility on track for an early 2022 grand opening.
Discussion on the project will take up most of tonight’s city plan commission meeting, which begins at 6 PM. The meeting will be held via Zoom.
