STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) – The World’s Largest Trivia Contest will be an online only event this year.
During the 54-hour contest, which is a fundraiser for the UW-Stevens Point student run radio station, participants will use a web app to submit their answers.
In past years the contest has been part on-air and part online. It attracts trivia players from around the country, many of whom travel to Stevens Point to play with long-standing teams. The city has hosted a trivia parade to celebrate the event in recent years. That is canceled this year.
Trivia quiz-master Jim Oliva said, “We’re experimenting with a safe, free trivia. You can join your teammates across the country via chat room, Zoom call, or team up with your household.”
Teams can register online only starting on October 15.
The contest is from October 23 to October 25.
