WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) Wausau police believe a hit-and-run driver intentionally stuck a pedestrian. She is still at-large.
An arrest warrant was issued for Amber Ferguson, 26, of Weston in connection with a crash on July 26.
A criminal complaint says a woman went to a parking lot on North 3rd Avenue to retrieve a friend’s car. She said Ferguson was already in the vehicle, and refused to hand over the keys. The two begin at argue. Ferguson struck the woman as she sped away from the scene. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Ferguson will be charged with hit-and-run causing injury, reckless endangerment, substantial battery, driving without a license, and bail jumping.
Prosecutors say there are other unrelated warrants for Ferguson’s arrest. Her whereabouts are unknown.
