I raised an eyebrow at this. Pampers created a smart diaper… yes… a smart diaper. There is a sensor attached to the diaper that works with a Wi-Fi baby monitor and app that lets parents keep track of soiled diapers.
… I mean, it was only 4 years ago that my son was in diapers and there's this handy blue line that will tell you the same thing.
So, how does this work you ask?
There is a sensor attached to the front of the diaper and it'll send a signal to the app when the diaper is soiled and needs to be changed. It'll even tell you how “wet” it is.
My personal concern is attaching a piece of WiFi tech directly to my child where there will be radio waves. Experts are saying that attaching a piece of tech to their baby would cause more stress than it would alleviate from not knowing when their diaper is wet…. duh.
Do you think this is a good idea?
