It's been 17 years since 9/11. But, it's been five years since I
had to “publically,” remember this day.
I'm sorry if that phrase
doesn't make sense.
The best way to describe
it is that today, was the first day in five years where I had to show my
personal emotions on the radio, about something that unfolded while I was on
the air in 2011. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem showing my
emotions and they aren't nearly as close to those who actually lived it!
I was on the radio the
day the attack happened. To be here now and listen to YOUR stories, memories and accomplishes means so much!
Here is one link (on
YouTube) that I became obsessed with after work today. It's about 40 minutes of
actual audio as things were happening.

Do what you want with it
(it is emotional). For me, I had time to open and just listen to the
tape. I'm almost positive my schedule is NOT as busy as you! It may be some days, but not nearly what you are everyday!
